FBCWVC Missions Ministries
First Baptist Church supports missions in the Salt Lake area, in Utah and Idaho, in the United States, and throughout the world. We encourage involvement in missions through giving, praying, learning about missions, and hands-on involvement in mission activities.
Locally we support the Baptist Concern Center, located at 1235 West California Avenue, Salt Lake City, telephone 972-5708. The Baptist Concern Center operates a food pantry, a program for Infant and Family Support Services, and other ministries as volunteers are available. We are currently collecting for the Concern Center’s Thanksgiving food distribution. Click here to find out more about the Baptist Concern Center: www.slba.org.; or call 972-5708 if you need assistance or wish to volunteer.
The Road to Freedom Biker Mission meets here each Tuesday night www.rtfbikermission.com.
Our members are active in Disaster Relief ministry, including operating a feeding unit and assisting in tree and debris removal, including several trips to Louisiana to assist after Hurricane Katrina.
